Heritage & Ryokan Specialist

An operations company that runs traditional ryokans

Organize OTA, pricing, guest communication, and housekeeping work concentrated on a successor or small team. The facility retains its permit; StayJP takes on the contracted operations while preserving the property's own hospitality practices.

From booking through the stay

The burden of keeping tradition alive while everything changes

The weight of succession

Keep the old ways and risk losing new guests. Modernize and risk losing regulars who have been coming for decades. You're caught between two worlds, and the pressure is on you.

Aging facilities, rising costs

Boiler replacements, pipe repairs, stricter hygiene standards—the older the property, the more unexpected expenses pile up. You add them up every month and wonder where it ends.

The language and culture gap

Explaining onsen etiquette, meal customs, and room rules to international guests in a language they understand—it's exhausting. One small cultural misstep and you're looking at a 1-star review.

Regulations with no one to help

Inn Business Act, fire safety, food hygiene, local tourism board requirements—there's so much to comply with and only you to do it. A single oversight can shut you down.

Keep your omotenashi. Let us handle the rest.

This isn't about replacing tradition with technology. It's about putting modern efficiency on top of your heritage so your hospitality can shine without the operational drag.

Ryokan operations FAQ

Can we keep our existing team and outsource only part of operations?

Yes. Property-specific work such as in-person hospitality, meals, and onsen operations can stay with the existing team, while the contract defines selected OTA, pricing, guest messaging, or housekeeping coordination work.

Do you provide multilingual support for hospitality and cultural experiences?

We can handle multilingual booking and stay messages. For onsen, meals, and other property-specific guidance, the scope follows content and operating rules approved by the facility.

How are guest ledgers and legal reports handled?

The facility remains responsible for its permit and administrative procedures. StayJP handles the operating records and information flows agreed in contract and can introduce an affiliated administrative scrivener if permit work is needed.
